The Ancient Egyptians believed there was a life after death and that they would need things to please the gods and to be happy. They buried many things with the dead to insure this. Some of these were food, jewelry, and games. The richest people would have large pyramids filled treasures, guards, and food.
The Bible tells us to store up our treasures in Heaven rather than on Earth. Jesus said, "In My Fathers house are many rooms... I am going there to prepare a place for you." This is why Christians do not build big pyramids to hold treasures.
So the big question is, "Should we store up treasures on Earth?"
And the answer is "No!"
